My Philosophy

I am a licensed psychologist with specialized training in evidence-based treatment techniques. Providing therapy to children, adolescents and young adults has been my passion for over twenty years. I believe experience and knowledge in the unique developmental contributions a child, adolescent, or young adult brings to the therapeutic setting is critical to applying treatment techniques in a way that resonates with them and promotes change. My experience and skill allow me to creatively apply treatment techniques that effectively reach children, adolescents and young adults. 

I appreciate that each person comes to therapy with their own set of strengths that makes them unique. A diagnosis helps understand how to treat a problem but it does not define a person. I work from a positive strengths based approach that tailors treatment to meet each individual's specific needs. I am a thoughtful listener, nonjudgmental and positively determined to help my clients meet their goals.
